ஓம் ஹ்ரீம் அர்ஹம் ஜம்பூத்வீபத்து பரத க்ஷேத்திரத்து காசி நாட்டு வாரணாசி நகரத்து உக்ர வம்சத்து விஸ்வசேன மஹாராஜாவிற்கும், பிராமி மஹாதேவிக்கும் உதித்த திருக்குமாரனும் ஒப்பிலா மஹா புருடரும், கரும் பச்சை வண்ணரும் 9 முழம் உயரம் உடையவரும் பரம ஔதாரிக தேகத்தை உடையவரும் 100 வருடம் ஆயுள் உடையவரும், ஸர்ப லாஞ்சனத்தை உடையவரும், தரணேந்திர யக்ஷ்ன், பத்மாவதி யக்ஷியர்களால் சேவிக்கப்பட்டவரும் சுயம்பு முதலிய 18 கணதர பரமேட்டிகளை உடையவரும் ஒரு மாதம் ப்ரதிமா யோகம் கொண்டவரும் சம்மேத கிரியில் ஸ்ராவண சுக்ல சப்தமி திதியில் 82 கோடி 84 லட்சத்து 41 ஆயிரத்து 742 முனிவர்களுடன் ஸ்வர்ண பத்ர கூடத்தில் பரிநிர்வாணம் அடைந்தவருமான ஸ்ரீபார்ஸ்வ  தீர்த்தங்கர பரம ஜிநேந்திர சுவாமிக்குத் தூய மனம் மொழி மெய்களால் நமோஸ்து! நமோஸ்து! நமோஸ்து!

Vengundram is situated very near to Vandavasi towards north. A hillock Thavalagiri Alias Vengundram lies in the locality. The hamlet got ancient Jinalaya built by the natives after the period of Salukkai Jinalaya, the nearby 11^th century Jain Palli. In the yesteryears many Jain ascetics had been lived in the caves of the hill. They wrote many religious books in the name of Thavalam.

Originally the temple was dedicated to Shri Nemi Jinar subsequentely transferred to Shri Parswanathar Jinalaya. The Chola architectural Jinalaya has east facing Vedi-block and North entrance-gate with a tower on the top. It got all features like Sanctum, passage, Ardhamandap, Mahamandap, Mugamandap and three pavilions in the open corridor.

Mahamandap pavilion north side got a Shrine with Shri Kooshmandini stone statue in sitting posture is established. Two Dwarabalagar standing stone statues with pedestal are on either side of the aisle in Mugamandap section. At front a Manasthamp of moderate height with four different Jinar bas relief at the bottom and four at the top of Mini-viman also and an altar were installed.  ...........

வெண்குன்றம் என்ற பகுதி வந்தாவாசியிலிருந்து 2 கி.மீ. தொலைவில் வடதிசையில்  உள்ளது.  அங்கே தவளகிரி என்றழைக்கப்பட்ட  வெண்குன்ற மலையும்,  அதன் அடியில்  அழகிய  ஜிநாலயம் ஒன்றும்  அமைந்துள்ளன.  அருகிலுள்ள 11ம் நூற்றாண்டைச் சார்ந்த  சளுக்கை  ஜிநாலயம் தோன்றிய பின் கட்டப்பட்டதாகும்.  முற்காலத்தில் அம்மலையில் பல சமணத் துறவிகள் வாழ்ந்துள்ளதற்கான  குகைகள் உள்ளன. மேலும்  தவளம் என்ற விலாசத்தில் பல ஆகமங்களை சமணத்திற்காக  ஆக்கித்தந்துள்ளனர். 

ஸ்ரீநேமி  ஜிநருக்காக கட்டப்பட்டு பல ஆண்டுகளுக்கு பின் ஸ்ரீபார்ஸ்வ ஜிநருக்காக அர்ப்பணிக்கப் பட்டுள்ளது. சோழர் கலைப்பாணியைக் கொண்டுள்ள இவ்வாலயம்  கருவறை, இடைநாழி, அர்த்தமண்டபம், மஹாமண்டபம், முகமண்டபம்,  கலசமண்டபம், 16 கால் மண்டபம், முன்மண்டபம் மற்றும் ராஜகோபுரம், மூலவிமானம் , மனத்தூய்மைக் கம்பம், பலிபீடம் போன்ற அமைப்புகளுடன் விளங்குகிறது. 

மகாமண்டபத்தின் வடமூலையில் ஸ்ரீதர்மதேவியின் அழகிய கற்சிலை அமர்ந்த நிலையில் தனி சன்னதியாக அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.  மேலும் உள்செல்லும் வாயிலின் இருபுறமும்  துவாரபாலகரின் கற்சிலைகள் பீடத்துடன் உள்ளது.  முன்னே உள்ள மனத்தூய்மைக் கம்பம், நாற்திசைகளிலும்  கீழ்புறம் ஜிநரின் புடைப்புச் சிற்பங்களுடனும், மேல்பகுதி விமானத்தில் ஜிநரின் அமர்வு சிலைகளுடனும் காட்சி தருகின்றன. ஒரு பலிபீடமும் திருச்சுற்றில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.   ........

The entrance, lean-structured three-tier, tower got legendary features from Adhitanam to sthupi like Sala, Karnakoot, Kapothas, Padmam, Mahanasi and five kalashes on the top. Six Jinar mortar idols in sitting postures are along every tier. And supporting idols and Kandarvas also decorated around the tower.

The sanctum got a marvelous Shri Parshwa Jinar, white marble absolute-carving, sculpture was installed on a plinth. A nine headed snake in dilated state is canopied the head of the Jinar. At the back end of the Arthamandap daily pooja platform consists of metal idol 24 Thirthankar copper mould with brass prabha and a black stone plate (rare model) Shri Parshwanathar flanked by two Ganadhars and the bottom pedestal has Yakhi, yakshas, Indira and devars. And the astamangal specimans are arranged on a separate stand.

The womb-chamber is crowned by a sleek two-tier Viman with Padmam and a Kalash on the peak. Four Jinar mortar statues are in standing posture at the bottom stage and in sitting state at the top tier along four directions. Also other Supporting idols are also exhibits on all direction of the traditional Viman.  ...........

ராஜகோபுரம் மூன்று தளமாக ஆதிட்டானத்திலிருந்து ஸ்தூபி வரை சாலை, கபோதகங்கள், கர்ணகூடங்கள், பத்மம், நாசி, மகாநாசி, ஐந்து கலசங்கள் போன்ற அனைத்து பாரம்பரிய கோபுர அம்சங்களையும் கொண்டுள்ளது.  மேலும் தளத்திற்கு 6 ஜிநரின் சுதைபிம்பங்கள், கந்தர்வர்கள்,  கோபுரம் தாங்கிகள் போன்ற சுதை சிலைகளுடன் ஒடுங்கிய அமைப்புடையதாக காட்சி தருகிறது.

கருவறை ஸ்ரீபார்ஸ்வ ஜிநரின் வெண்பளிங்கு முழுஉருவச்சிலை அமர்ந்த தியான நிலையில் வேதிகையில் நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ளது. அவர் சிரசின் மீது ஒன்பது தலை நாகம் படம் விரித்த நிலையில் குடைபோல் அமைக்கப்பட்டு அழகாக காட்சி அளிக்கிறது. அர்த்தமண்டப முடிவின் நடுவே தின பூஜை மேடை அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதில் உலோகத்தால் செய்விக்கப்பட்ட24 தீரத்தங்கரர்கள்  தொகுப்பு பிரபாவளியுடனும்; நின்றநிலையில் ஸ்ரீபார்ஸ்வநாதர் கற்சிலை   இருபுறமும் கணதரர்களுடன், அடியில் யக்ஷ, யக்ஷியர், இந்திரர், தேவர்களுடன் அரிதான புடைப்புச் சிற்பமும் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.  அஷ்ட மங்கல பொருட்களின் உலோக மாதிரிகள் மரமேடையில் அணிசெய்கின்றன.

கருவறையின்   மேற்புறம் துவிதள விமானம் பத்மம் ஏக கலசத்துடன் காட்சி தருகிறது. நெடியது போன்ற தோற்றம் கொண்ட அதில் நின்ற நிலையில் ஜிநரின் சுதைச்சிற்பங்களும்,  மேல் தளத்தில் அமர்ந்த நிலையிலும் மற்றும் தாங்கிகள்,   சிம்மங்கள் போன்ற சிற்பங்களும் அலங்கரிக்கின்றன. ......

In front of main entrance a pavilion is secured with tight grill doors. Inside all metal idols of Thirthankars with prabhas, Rathanathraya, Shruthaskanth, Meru and some Yaksh, Yakshies are preserved on a platform. At the center of pedestal Shri Dharanendran and Shri Padmavathy metal idols are placed. On either side pedestal granite statues of shri Brahmadevar and Navadevatha stone plate are seated. A small altar is also in the opening of the corridor.

On the north-east 16 pillar pavilions’ two panel was converted to shrine room. One is for Shri Padmavathy devi, stone statue with five headed snake on its back and another is for Navagraha stone idols platform. A Kalash pavilion at the east side of the complex has an old Shri Rishabha Devar stone plate carvings, in (acute angle) triangular shape,  is a unique model; might be in 5-7^th Century AD. (Which was taken from the village near Vandavasi town).

Regular poojas and rituals are conducted at the appropriate time. All Jain festivals are celebrated on the relevant dates.

தலைவாயிலின் எதிர்புறம் உள்ள மண்டபத்தில்  ஆலயத்தின் உலோகச்சிலைகளான வழிபாட்டிற்குரிய தீர்த்தங்கரர்கள், ரத்தினத்திரயம், பஞ்சபரமேஷ்டி, மகாமேரு, ஸ்ருதஸ்கந்தம் மற்றும் யக்ஷ, யக்ஷியர்கள் அனைத்தும் மேடையில் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.  மேலும் நடுவே உள்ள மேடையில் ஸ்ரீதரணேந்திரர், ஸ்ரீபத்மாவதி சிலைகளும், இருபுறமும் நவதேவதை கற்சிலையும், ஸ்ரீபிரம்மதேவரின் கற்சிலையும் நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ளன. அனைத்தும் நன்கு பாதுகாப்புடன் இரும்புக் கதவுகளுடன் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

ஆலய திருச்சுற்றின் ஆரம்பத்தில் உள்ள 16 கால் மண்டபத்தின் ஒருபகுதியில் இரு சன்னதிகள் அமைக்கப்பட்டு ஒன்றில் ஸ்ரீபத்மாவதி தேவியின் கற்சிலையும்,  மற்றொன்றில் நவக்கரஹ கற்சிலைகளின் மேடையும் நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ளன.  அடுத்து கீழ்திசையில் உள்ள கலச மண்டபத்தில் ஸ்ரீரிஷபநாதரின்  நீண்ட முக்கோண வடிவிலான அரிதான கற்சிலை ஒன்று மேடையில் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. (அது கி.பி. 5-7ம் நூற்றாண்டைச் சார்ந்த கலை அம்சத்தை கொண்டுள்ளது.) வந்தவாசிக்கு அருகிலுள்ள கிராமத்திலிருந்து தருவிக்கப்பட்டது.

குறைந்த அளவில் சமணர்கள் அவ்வூரில் வாழ்ந்திருந்தாலும் தினபூஜை மற்றும் மத சடங்குகள் அனைத்தும் அந்தந்த பருவ நாட்களில் நடைபெறுகிறது.  மெய்அன்பர்கள்  முறையாக விஜயம் செய்வதால் மட்டுமே  அந்த பழமையான நினைவுச் சின்னம் எதிர்கால தலைமுறைக்காக அழியாமல் இருக்கும்.
